Toronto to Bengaluru Flight: Guide for GTA Families

Flights Toronto to Bengaluru One-Stop Options Journey Times and Tips for GTA Families
There is no non-stop from Pearson to Bengaluru. Here is how the one-stop routes compare, how long they really take, and how to time your booking for the winter break.

Quick answer: what is the best way to fly Toronto to Bengaluru?
No airline flies Toronto to Bengaluru non-stop. The simplest option is Air India on one ticket: Toronto to Delhi non-stop, then a short domestic flight to Bengaluru. Qatar Airways, Emirates and Etihad connect through the Gulf, and Lufthansa, British Airways, Air France and KLM connect through Europe. Expect 19 to 24 hours door to door. For the December winter break, book by early November. Call Mann Travel on (604) 265-9000 for a Toronto quote.

Is there a non-stop flight from Toronto to Bengaluru?

No. As of October 2026, no airline flies non-stop between Toronto Pearson and Kempegowda International Airport. Air India’s non-stop from Toronto goes to Delhi, and from 25 October 2026 it adds a seasonal non-stop to Mumbai. Bengaluru is a connection from either of those, or from a hub in the Gulf or Europe.

That is not bad news. A well-timed stop can be easier on children and older parents than 17 hours in one seat. The trick is picking the stop that suits your family, not just the lowest fare on a search screen.

Your one-stop options from Toronto

These are the main routings we book for families in Brampton, Mississauga, Scarborough and across the GTA. Times are approximate and depend on the connection you choose.

Airline  Stop  Total journey  Good to know
Air India  Delhi  About 19 to 22 hours  One ticket, bags checked through. The Toronto–Delhi leg is about 15 hours non-stop, then roughly 3 hours to Bengaluru.
Qatar Airways  Doha  About 19 to 23 hours  Toronto–Doha is around 12.5 hours. Doha–Bengaluru is around 4 hours. A good choice if you want to avoid a domestic Indian connection.
Emirates  Dubai  About 20 to 24 hours  Daily A380 from Toronto. Dubai suits a longer break between flights.
Etihad  Abu Dhabi  About 20 to 24 hours  Daily from Toronto. Often priced competitively with the other Gulf carriers.
Lufthansa  Frankfurt  About 20 to 23 hours  Frankfurt–Bengaluru is a daily non-stop. Two long flights of roughly 8 and 9 hours.
British Airways  London Heathrow  About 20 to 24 hours  Heathrow–Bengaluru is a direct BA route. Handy if you have family in the UK to see on the way.
Air France / KLM  Paris or Amsterdam  About 21 to 24 hours  Both hubs have non-stops to Bengaluru. Frequencies change with the season, so check the days.

Times are from airline schedules checked on 11 October 2026, plus your connection.

Which stop should a family choose?

For the fewest hassles, Air India on one ticket is hard to beat. Bags go all the way, and if the Toronto flight runs late the airline must get you onto the next Delhi–Bengaluru departure. If you would rather not change planes in India, the Gulf carriers land you in Bengaluru on a single international arrival, and their hubs have family lounges and short walks between gates. European hubs suit families stopping over for a few days or visiting relatives in the UK or Germany on the way.

What does a Toronto to Bengaluru fare look like right now?

Our Canadian homepage does not currently show a Toronto fare, so we will not guess at one here. For reference only, the homepage today shows Vancouver to Bengaluru from CAD $1,030 per person one-way, checked 11 October 2026, prices change daily. Toronto fares are set separately and vary a lot by airline, date and how early you book.

When to book for the winter break and year-end trips

Toronto’s public school boards break for winter from Monday 21 December 2026, with classes back on Monday 4 January 2027. GTA tech workers tend to take the same two weeks. So the busiest outbound dates to Bengaluru fall between 18 and 23 December, and the return crunch lands on 2 and 3 January.

1. Book by early November

Fares for the peak dates usually step up through November as the lower fare classes sell out. If you are reading this in October, you are in a good spot. Lock in your seats now.

2. Leave a day or two before the rush

Flying out on 16 or 17 December, before schools close, often costs less and gives you time to shake off jet lag before the family gatherings.

3. Come back midweek

Returning on 5 or 6 January instead of the weekend can save real money. Many employers are flexible in the first week of the year. Ask.

4. Keep one ticket for the whole family

Book parents, kids and grandparents together. Seats stay together, and any schedule change is handled once.

5. Students and education staff: use MannPass

Verified students, teachers and education staff in Canada can join the Latest Offer. It takes CAD $25 off selected return flights from Canada to India, is valid for 30 days from verification, is renewable, and cannot be combined with other promotions. Worth a look if you have a student at Waterloo, U of T or York flying home for the holidays.

Arriving at Kempegowda International Airport

Bengaluru’s airport sits at Devanahalli, roughly 35 km north of the city centre. It is not a quick hop. Plan for 60 to 90 minutes to Koramangala, Indiranagar or Jayanagar, and longer in the evening rush.

  • Vayu Vajra airport buses. BMTC runs air-conditioned Volvo buses from the terminal to most parts of the city, around the clock, for about INR 230 to 350. They have luggage racks and are the easiest budget option for a family.
  • Taxi apps and airport taxis. Uber and Ola have pick-up zones at the terminal, and there are prepaid taxi counters if your phone is not set up yet. Agree the pick-up point with family before you fly.
  • Terminal check. Bengaluru has two terminals. Confirm which one your flights use.
  • Documents. Canadian passport holders need an Indian visa or OCI card. Apply through the official Indian visa website well before you fly, and check travel.gc.ca for current advice.

Tips for GTA families flying to Bengaluru

  • Pick the stop for the youngest or oldest traveller. A three-hour break in Doha is easier for a toddler or a grandparent than a tight 90-minute domestic connection.
  • Check baggage before you pack gifts. Allowances differ by airline and by fare type.
  • Ask for wheelchair help and special meals at booking. Both must be requested in advance, not at the gate.
  • Planning a side trip? Our Shimla and Manali winter break guide shows how to fit the hills into the holidays, and manntravel.ca/hotels can handle the stays.
